RD: Which BIB assignment method will work the best for my event?
Our system propose 3 different BIB assignments method:
- BIB Chosen By User During Registration
- Automatic sequential BIB assignment
- BIB assignment at check-in
BIB Chosen By User During Registration
After you select this option, your customers will choose their BIB number and BIB name in the registration funnel. The validation for BIB number will work according to the entered BIB range for the sub-event. Also, the customer could use the function “Get the first available number” - in this case the system will propose the first available number according to the BIB range.
As a result, after the registration is closed your participant will be assigned the BIB number and BIB name, you can check it in the .csv export (full and custom).
Automatic sequential BIB assignment
After you select this option, the system will be assigned automatically the BIB number after the user has been registered for your event. After a user has been registered he receives the confirmation email with his BIB number inside.
For the BIB Name you can additionally customize it for every sub-event. You can decide if the user will have an ability to select their BIB Name or not.
At the registration funnel users will see a notification about this.
As a result, after the registration is closed your participant will be assigned the BIB number and BIB name, you can check it in the .csv export (full and custom).
BIB assignment at check-in
After you select this option, the BIB number will be assigned automatically after the user has arrived on the event. After a user has been registered he receives the confirmation email with a QR code that has to be scanned by a volunteer at the check-in on the event day.
“Dynamically assign the next available BIB” means that after scanning the QR code by a volunteer the system will assign the next available BIB to the runner.
“Manually assign BIB” means that after scanning the QR code by a volunteer the system will propose to assign the next available BIB for the volunteer.
At the registration funnel users will see a notification about this.
